Dancing for Eternity seeks to honor Jesus by providing dance scholarships and dance opportunities to those who may not be able to afford it.

OUR STORY

Our daughter, Hope Elizabeth Shaffer, 15, was on the path to reach her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. She dreamed of one day providing ballet lessons to students whose families could not afford them. Hope felt that all children should be able to learn the art of ballet if they truly had the desire.

Unfortunately, her life was cut short in an auto accident, and now in her memory we would like to make her dream come true by providing dance scholarships to local studios, hosting dance programs, or providing financial or material support to deserving aspiring and emerging dance students.

Hope wrote a note to one of her former dance teachers and signed off on it, “Let’s keep dancing for eternity,” and thus the name of this non-profit was born. We truly believe that Hope is now dancing for all of eternity. And we know that she would want others to find the joy in ballet that she found.
